DRY CLEANING PROCESS

Many laundries today use dry cleaning machines , which are a “symbiosis” of a traditional washing machine and dryer. During processing, items are placed in a special cleaning chamber. According to the design, the washing compartment contains a perforated corrugated drum rotating within the outer frame. The core itself is filled with solvent.

During the washing cycle, the chamber is filled with solvent to about a third of its volume and then begins to rotate. As a rule, the temperature of the chemical is no more than 29.4 degrees Celsius. Gradually, a new solvent is added to the chamber from the tank, and the used one is “sent” to the filter.

A standard wash cycle lasts from 8 to 15 minutes. The duration directly depends on the degree of soiling of the laundry:

  • In the first three minutes, all dissolvable stains disintegrate into perchlorethylene.
  • More “deep” and “complex” stains are removed after about 10 minutes.

It should be noted that devices operating with hydrocarbon solvents have a longer washing cycle. It is approximately 25 minutes.

After the end of the washing cycle, rinsing begins using a new portion of solvent. As a product, compositions are used, the composition of which prevents the discoloration of the fabric. Then the machine turns on the spin and dry mode.
